ELEANOR SOBEL HOSTS TOWN HALL MEETING ON TAXES & BUDGETS
Wednesday, March 19, 2008, 6:00-9:00 P.M.
Nova High School Auditorium
(754-323-1650 for directions)
Broward County-- "Florida is truly at a crossroads in its budget crisis, and with this Town Hall meeting our community will get involved in the decision-making process" said School Board Member and former State Representative Eleanor Sobel. "This is a tremendous opportunity for the people of Broward County to ask tough questions."
Please join us to hear a panel of experts, including but not limited to members of the Florida Taxation and Budget Reform Commission, Florida Tax Watch Executive Leaders and others to discuss potential solutions to Florida's fiscal crisis, such as: additional and expanded property tax reform proposals; reviewing the sales tax exemptions and exclusions; and further participation of Florida in the Streamlined Sales Tax Initiative.
You will hear first-hand about Florida's fiscal problems. Become part of the solution by getting involved in the process and letting your voices be heard. By working together, we will make Florida the best it can possibly be.
