On Friday, June 17th, Senate President Mike Haridopolos was the guest speaker at the Tampa Tiger Bay Club luncheon. Among numerous pointed questions from club members, one questioner asked the senator if he would return the unprecedented $152,000 in taxpayer dollars he was paid by Brevard Community College to write a “book.”
It was reported: “He didn't say he would return the money, but said all proceeds from the sale of the book, Florida History & Legislative Processes, go back to the college.”1
Progress Florida has since found out exactly how many “proceeds” from the senator’s book sales have been returned to the college and has just published a special report documenting total book sales and revenue generated from Senator Haridopolos’ "book" as of June 21.
