As it celebrates it’s centennial anniversary, The Anti Defamation League, Florida , hosted a important briefing to a select audience on the dangers Israel faces from act’s of desperation and terrorism, including deadly rocket attacks and suicide bombers, from enemies of the State. The briefing ( no video allowed) was led by a honored guest, Binyamin Herness, Chief Superintendent, Israel Police, Kfar Saba. Chief Superintendent Herness is a internationally known expert in discussing the Israeli’s National Police Force practices, tactics, lessons learned along with gathering intelligence, preventing, responding and investigating terror attacks. Few, if any, can match his credentials as a top Israel Police Official and National Security Expert,protecting those inside the borders of Israel. He began his Public Service career in Israel as a Captain the the Navy then was reassigned to the Israel Defense Ministry (IDM). His career in Police Service began as a Commander overseeing special patrols and operations. He was subsequently assigned command of several different divisions and districts within Israel assuming his present position in 2012. In addition to discussing terrorism and its effects on the population, Chief Superintendent Herness dicussed the psychological makeup of a suicide bomber, showing several video clips of actual incidents and detonations of explosives. There was also discussion on the organizational makeup of the Israel Police Force, types of crimes it’s officers respond to, Community Partnerships it as developed , as well as the numerous challenges the Police Force faces as it diversifies to reflect Israel’s changing population and demographics. During his trip to the United States, the Superintendent also briefed officials in Washington D.C. and New York City on the same topics. SheriffsTV and it’s Program Director,Capt.
