Mayor Gary Resnick announced that he will seek re-election in the upcoming November election.   It remains a distinct honor and privilege to serve as the Mayor of Wilton Manors.  The City has come a long way during my service on the Commission and as Mayor:  improvements to our neighborhoods through beautification and stronger code enforcement, improvements to our business areas with better zoning and enhancements on Wilton Drive, Powerline, Dixie, 26th St. and 15th Ave., and a wonderful new residential development replacing the old, blighted trailer park between 15th Ave. and Dixie Highway!

Going forward, we have several important projects in the immediate future, including the redevelopment of Dixie Highway with MPO grants, a possible commuter train station, further improvements to Wilton Dr., Oakland Park, Powerline, 26th St. and Andrews. Ave., and improvements to our parks and recreation facilities.   City property values have increased dramatically over the years during Gary’s service to the City.  The City continues to celebrate its strengths, offering the most welcoming community recognized nationally and locally for being the best place to work and to live.
