Mickel Field Redevelopment Begins!

The groundbreaking ceremony held at Mickel Field on Monday evening, October 6, 2014, marked the beginning of the city's project to redevelop the park. The City Commission, members of the community and City staff came out to the event to celebrate this new beginning. "The investment in repurposing our park system has countless residual benefits, which we have already begun to experience such as strengthening and uniting our communities, improving health, happiness, recreation opportunities, connectivity, cultural venues and so much more," said Mayor Gary Resnick. "It was a gem when I first moved into this city and it can be again. This is going to benefit the whole city."
