South Florida's chance to stand up against Amendment 8

In just seven weeks, the people of Florida will vote on an amendment that would remove the state’s 107-year-old constitutional protection against taxpayer funding of religious activities. Amendment 8, the misleadingly-called “Religious Freedom Amendment,” would blur the line separating church and state and create a constitutional entitlement for any entity calling itself a religion to receive any government benefit. Join us on Saturday, September 29th for a rally against Amendment 8 to oppose this threat to religious freedom. Join your fellow civil libertarians in support of real religious freedom, not what Amendment 8 would bring. Religion can only truly be free when it's free of government entanglement.
