The 58th quadrennial U.S. presidential election will take place on Tuesday, November 8. For some Floridians, it may be the first time they’ve ever voted, others may be impacted by recent changes to voting laws, and others still may arrive at their polling place only to be told that they can’t vote. To make sure everyone has their voice heard in our democracy, the ACLU of Florida’s Broward County Chapter invites you to learn how you can protect the vote by becoming a poll watcher.
Poll Watcher Training and Monthly Meeting

Poll watchers serve an important role for voters by observing the election process to see if any violations of election laws occur. In coordination with the non-partisan group Election Protection, join us for this volunteer training to learn how you can protect the right to vote in Broward County on Election Day and during the early voting period from Oct. 24 through Nov. 6.
Broward County Supervisor of Elections, Dr. Brenda Snipes, will give a presentation on the general election and the regulations on poll watchers, followed by a poll watcher training with the ACLU of Florida's legal director, Nancy Abudu. The training will be followed by the Broward County Chapter's monthly board meeting.
The ACLU of Florida's Broward County Chapter is looking for member volunteers who want to protect the civil rights and liberties of Broward County citizens. There’s a lot to do and we need your participation. Please join us and bring a friend to this volunteer training!
