Congressman Ted Deutch, ranking member of the House Subcommittee on the Middle East and North Africa, and the co-founder and co-chairman of the Congressional Hellenic Israel Alliance, took part in an event on Sunday, May 4, with members and clergy, affiliated with the St. Mark Greek Orthodox Church, located at 2100 NW 51st St, in Boca Raton. Congressman Deutch and speakers focused their remarks on the recently improved relationship between Greece, Cypress and Israel, and also on the unique relationship of Jews and Greeks during the Holocaust. Congressman Deutch spoke as well as Father Mark Leondis from St. Mark Greek Orthodox Church, and Rabbi David Englander of B’nai Torah Congregation, and also public servant Andy Manatos. Manatos has held a number of roles in the federal government, and is president of his own lobbying firm Manatos and Manatos.
