"Saddened to read Pastor Jimmy Witherspoon's Facebook post following Friday's action by the U.S. Supreme Court rejecting FL Attorney General Pam Bondi's motion to extend the stay in the ban for same sex marriage in Florida.
When Jimmy Witherspoon was a candidate for Florida State Representative this past election cycle, we met for lunch at his family's diner. Over lunch, when I questioned candidate Witherspoon on marriage equality, he responded supported marriage equality for gay and lesbian couples.
Witherspoon is entitled to his views and opinions, but his outright pandering and misleading myself and others in the LGBT community speaks volumes about this pastor's character and integrity"
