Florida; cause unknown --Eight power plants are down --4+ million people are effected by power outages 26 Feb 2008 Massive power outages struck South Florida on Tuesday afternoon, with power reported out from Miami to Palm Beach County, police said. Detective Robert Williams, a Miami-Dade County police spokesman, said power was out across the entire county. The cause of the blackout was not known.
