Rep. Deutch Condemns Spicer's Offensive and Historically Inaccurate Holocaust Reference

Congressman Ted Deutch (FL-22) issued this condemnation of White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer's inaccurate and offensive Holocaust reference:

"Sean Spicer’s ignorant, offensive, and outrageously false statements claiming Hitler never used gas to kill his own people show either a stunning ignorance of history or a callous disregard of the horrors of the Holocaust. I frankly can’t understand why, when pressed about his offensive comments about the Holocaust, he simply cannot apologize without trying to justify what he said.

"Mr. Spicer, your comments from the podium reverberate most loudly in the homes of Holocaust survivors in America and across the world gathering together to celebrate Passover. In January, you told those of us who criticized your omission of Jews from a Holocaust Remembrance Day statement we were being 'pathetic.' It was your words then and your words today that are truly pathetic."
